The install disk got badly scratched (my fault but bad packaging) and will no longer boot so I can't get to the recovery console from the CD. I have now bought the non-OEM version of XP x64 and will install that soon. It apparently has SP2 slipstreamed. Will I be able to install the recovery console to the HD? I thought it was going to update the existing driver I had installed, but it was left over from when it was not installed.
