help with pc video formats and dvd "KRK" <trebor[ at ]yeleek.nospam.freeserve.co.uk> 11/21/2008 1:23:15 PM Hello, Can anyone point me to a site or document that explains in layman's language what the various pc video formats, eg mpg, avi, mov are, and how they relate to a dvd format ? If I use Windows Moviemaker I can collect several vids together and publish them as a single vid, but if I publish to my pc should I use 'recommended format for my pc' or 'DV-PAL' (which gives a 10 or 100 times bigger file) if I want ulimately to burn the file to a dvd to watch on my TV. I find the help pages very confusing and I need an 'idiot's guide' . If I convert between formats do I lose quality ? Does Moviemaker 'finalise' the dvd or can I add more files to it later ?
