One thought, what type of software? Since you now have two Vista licenses, if you just have one particularly broken piece of software and it doesn't need to interact directly with hardware, you can install Virtual PC and run a 32-bit/x86 version of Vista within Virtual PC, while keeping your main OS x64.
Also be aware that your 8 GB (assuming you meant GB) of RAM will largely go to waste in x86, if you're lucky you'll see a little over 3GB of RAM, the rest will be completely unused.
