aura 8gb mpr player fizz.1812 12/29/2008 2:23:01 PM I have tried everything I know to install this player. My laptop does'nt recognise it , and the software disc does'nt work. I don 't know a great deal about computers. Can anyone help?

The reviewer said he used "some other software", without saying exactly what it was. There are a couple possibilities, for the interface standard. The device may appear as a USB Mass Storage device. That means it looks like a disk, and you copy your songs to the player with ease. That would be my preferred standard for transfer, because it also allows the player to be used like a USB hard drive. The second option is called MTP. MTP is an unnecessary protocol, invented to make the customer's life more complicated. The brand name may be specific to the UK, with other areas of the world using a different name. Thus, it will be difficult to find working software for it. Perhaps you can look very closely at the files on the software CD, and see if the company name or web link is mentioned anywhere. For example, look at the information in a ..inf file if you can find one. Maybe you can figure out a solution that way.
