Recovering Files with Backup mac_lmt 11/22/2008 1:13:00 PM I've been using the Backup utility to save recovery files on an external hd. Is it possible to retrieve a specific file from the bkf file? Just catalog the backup set and you will be able to restore select files from the set. When I backed up my recently rebuilt HD the entire drive was backed up as a single .bkf file. When I then run Backup from System Tools and select the Restore Wizard I only see the single bkf file which is the entire volume. I do not see where I could then select a specific file to restore, ie to My Documents, when navigating thru the Restore Wizard's panels. Sorry, but I can't seem to locate the reference points in your message.
