I am using the Backup utility that comes with XP. It's probably the same one you are referring to. When I backed up my recently rebuilt HD the entire drive was backed up as a single .bkf file.
When I then run Backup from System Tools and select the Restore Wizard I only see the single bkf file which is the entire volume. I do not see where I could then select a specific file to restore, ie to My Documents, when navigating thru the Restore Wizard's panels.
Sorry, but I can't seem to locate the reference points in your message. Am I using a different utility perhaps? -- vince
