My DirectShow Audio Renderer filter doesnt get called from WMP

Hi,
I have implemented one audio source filter and one audio renderer filter. If
I connect & play them in GraphEdit all works ok.
Now I want to use them both in WMP, the source filter gets called since I
registerered extension at:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Media Type\Extensions\.myextension\Source Filter...
But my renderer filter is not called from the WMP, instead I am getting the
WMP error "cannot play the file" (I have created my own CLSID's for media
subtypes).
Does anyone have ideas why WMP refuses to talk to my renderer filter?
Actually, I am not sure how WMP decides which renderer to use (besides
"merit"), does it probes all installed renderers for a given media type?
Thanks,
Sasha

WMP *always* uses specific system renderers. If you hack WMP
to overwrite this choice, you will break it. Which means,
you can make WMP use third-party renderers. WMP is not a
generic DirectShow frontend, it's a player.

Note that the OP omitted mentioning that he has already started a thread
here which has additional details:
http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=4151932&SiteID=1
But for some reason has not asked in the comments section on the blog entry
here, as was suggested:
