Hi,
Damaged hardware is the most likely explanation if it is sticking on the POST. It is not unusual for a new component to fail in the first few months - 'tis why there are warranties. First thing I would do is run memory and hard drive diagnostics, and swap in a known-good power supply. If all those come up ok, then I'd look to either the processor or motherboard. The latter will often show swollen or leaky capacitors if it's gone bad, check carefully with a strong flashlight.
