recent security patch? certain V scroll bars disappear jmichae3[ at ]yahoo.com 11/28/2008 8:49:57 PM in my yahoo mail and in dreamweaver 8 where there are smaller client windows that can have vertical scroll bars, the scroll bars are missing. the only way I can scroll is with the scroll wheel on my mouse (I am thankful to have one). It has been this way for a couple of months, so I don't know what update did this. Jim Michaels

Why would an update to yahoo or affect Dreamweaver? there are no automatic updates from adobe to dreamweaver. I applied the latest patches myself, but I experienced no problems until much later. I had several updates some in just before I noticed this problem. the problem has not gone away. firefox says it could be related to themes, but I suspect that dreamweaver is using the IE ActiveX control to display browser content given its behavior with character availablility in fonts, but I am not entirely sure. I will ask a dreamweaver engineer.
