Windows Movie Maker (version 6.0.6000.16386) runs OK on my Vista Home Premium machine and I can import media into a collection and view it in the preview panel, but when I try to drag an item into the storyboard the item does not appear there. I have tried .AVI and .WMV movie files and .jpg stills but cannot load up the storyboard or timeline. I have run a registry cleaning tool and also run WMM in safe mode with no success. My PC is a DELL Inspiron 1525 with T7250 Intel Core 2 duo 2 GHz processor. I've searched the Windows community discussion groups but can find no other instance of this problem. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Hi Jspira,
I saw you are having a hard time dropping your media into the
storyboard. My name is Lindsey and I work with the Windows Outreach
Team. I was looking for a solution for you and one thing I thought was
I wondered if your OS is all up to date. Have you updated your Vista
and Windows Movie Maker? Sometimes this will help solve those little
pesky problems. If that doesn't help let me know. I will keep looking
for a solution too.
Lindsey
