Scanning Photos
KillerDesigns 10/9/2008 10:10:02 AM
hi,

i have a scanner (600x1200 dpi, max. 19200 dpi) and a 6mp (2048x1536
pixels)digital camera. in order to digitize my photos, is it better to scan
the photos or is it better to take digital pictures of the photos saving then
in .jpg format?

also, how best to use the digital camera to poistion it vertically above the
photos [ at ] 90 degrees (i.e. at right angle to the photo)?

thanks for your reply/s.

I think your best bet (by far) would be to use the scanner.
I've had good results scanning my picture collection
at 300 dpi...they look as good or better than the originals.
