Hi ! My desktop is running Windows VISTA Business. It is running an English language version and I wish to change the language to French. Is it really possible, or do I really need to upgrade my version to VISTA Ultimate or VISTA Enterprise? I wish it exists another way...
Help appreciated. Regards Nicolas

You have to do an English upgrade to Ultimate, then download the French. Whatever language the computer came installed with, also has to be the Upgrade language. -- Mad Mike

Unfortunately, it is not possible.

Take note of the what Nic and Mike said. I just want to add that you do not have to change to the French language version to add French keyboard support to the OS. You can have keyboards for many languages within the English version.

Google "Change Vista Language", for example:
http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/03/06/vista-sp1-multilingual-user-interface-mui-language-pack-install-tool-for-business-home-premium-and-basic-edition/
It's a long link. Just paste it back together if the program puts in a line break. I haven't tried this, but it says you can install another interface language in Vista Business, Home Premium and Home Basic versions.

To each his own.
I trust my a/v and malware programs - and my backups.

But I don't trust other people's AV and Malware, because they might not have any. Rather than get blamed for something, I posted a long link and warned people about it. Now if it was one of the Spanish language groups that I frequent, well not too many newbies dare venture in there...

Agreed!
I am not about to trust someone who I don't know to not send me something that may be purposefully malicious.
