Windows Live Messenger - Always on top

I did a search and didn't find this posted. Sorry if it has been before. Every time someone sends an IM with Windows Live, the window pops up on top of whatever else I'm doing. Not just new IMs but every single time I minimize the convo window, it pops back up again. The "always on top" is NOT checked. None of the other IM services I use do this. Please Help! -- bogfrog82

Greetings,

This could be two things.

The first is when you're appearing offline, in which case when messages aren't sent directly
to you, their window will take keeping focus. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do about
that besides changing your status.

The second is that you're using some third-party Messenger tool like a script in Messenger
Plus (note that Plus itself does not have this feature, it would be a script you installed)
or some other similar software. In which case all you have to do is remove the script or
software in question.
