I've had to reinstall the OS (Win2K+SP4) on my main machine, since when I
can't install/reinstall (or uninstall) some/most programmes. Trying to, it
gets so far, then displays the "This patch package could not be opened..."
message. Updated Installer to latest version, but didn't help/solve it; gone
through most of what MS recommends on its 'Common Windows Installer Problems'
pages - ditto,
- tho' haven't tried the 'Windows Installer Cleanup Utility' yet. Any
comments/ recommendations?
