Using the same key that was given with the purchased 32bit version, you could then install the 64bit version on the SAME PC as the 32bit version... Is this possible?? To have both the 32bit and 64bit versions running on the same PC with you only needing to purchase a single copy of Vista? Thanks!

I wasn't trying to get around it, rather trying to understand the wording Microsoft uses.. I read the following, and wasn't clear by what they meant when they say "you can reinstall Windows on the same computer as many times as you want".. I thought it must mean you start over.. 1 copy.. but then I thought, if the hardware didn't change, could you put on multiple copies on the same PC. I thought I read someplace that Microsoft will let you run virtual copies of the same license on the same hardware.. again, that is just what I recall reading and may not be accurate at all.. I'd just install the 64bit version and give it a test with all your H/W and applications. If it works fine, then go ahead and activate it. Otherwise, format the drive and install the 32bit version
