DVD Drive rlp 10/22/2008 11:11:01 PM 6 mo old Dell inspiron 530 won't write Data DVD's. It starts out ok then stops stating that there was a problem writing to DVd. Will write data CD's ok . I'm lost any help please?

I'm lost any help please? Windows XP by itself (no third party software) can't write to a DVD. It can write to a CD. Nero or Easy CD Create solve this problem. I don't know if Vista can write to a DVD or not. Jim
