Unable to access Vista compuer from Vista notebook when VPN runnin George 12/30/2008 12:44:01 AM I have a home network with 2 XP computers, my Vista Enterprise notebook and now a new computer running Vista Home Premium (64 bit). No issues accessing the XP computers but when I have Microsoft VPN running (connected to work) I cannot access shared resources on the new Vista box. I can see the vista box on the network but get an error saying I don't have permission when I try to connect. Issue seems to be related to Windows being confused by the existence of two network connections -- physical connection and the VPN connection -- when I try to connect to the Vista box.

I assume you are suggesting I contact our corporate network administator (I'm the administrator of our home network, so to speak...) since the VPN software is seemnigly the cause of the problem...even though I have no problems accessing XP-based resources on my home network when VPN is running.
