Accessing owner folder on external drive Deb Borys 12/29/2008 2:10:06 AM The system board went dead on my desk top so I turned the hard drive into an external drive intending to access the files on it from my laptop computer. Both computers were XP SP2. The files I need are in the Owner folder under Documents and Settings, but it will not give me access to the folder. Is there a way to sign in my password as owner on this exernal drive so that it will let me access everything I could when it was the main drive in my computer? Thanks for your help.
