Create a Toolbar via group policy
SBStech08 <computerrob64[ at ]gmail.com> 12/18/2008 2:19:41 AM
running sbs2003...just wondering if anyone knows a way via group
policy to create a toolbar that all the client machines will get. And
can this toolbar include shortcuts/documents , etc. as well. Not sure
this can be done via group policy....have been doing it via
"sneakernet".

Thanks,

-Rob

Group Policy can't create toolbars - Group Policy basically uses Windows
functionality (or any other application functionality) and turns it
on/off/changes its behavior. If there's a toolbar of an application you
have, you could use that with GP.

If there's a toolbar you already have and you'd like to deploy it, you
can use Software Installation in Group Policy (you'd first have to
convert it to an MSI file) or use a script to install it.

cheers,

Florian
