disabling the "unlock this computer screen" Phil Lawson 12/10/2008 5:39:00 AM I have systems set up with XP-Pro, logging into a windows 2003 domain. When the systems are inactive for more than 15 minutes, they go into sleep mode. When they come out of that they are set to prompt for a password. the message that comes up is "this computer is in use and has been locked. only user or an administrator can unlock this computer" Only the last user or an administrator can unlock the computer. Is there any way to set this up so that the system just gets logged out after inactivity? (if the user leave stuff open, then just close it, and loose whatever) or as a second option is there a way to let a non-administrator log the user out, and sign in. As it is now once an admin clears the login then you still have to log in. I'd like to simplify it to one login and password. I also don't want to make everyone administrators. Look for : on resume, password protect.
