XP Serious Error !! HELP !!
Penang <kalambong[ at ]gmail.com> 11/17/2008 4:29:08 AM
Microsoft Windows
The system has recovered from a serious error
A log of this error has been created
For more information about the error, click here

Error signature
BCCode : 77 BCP1 : 00000001 BCP2 : 00000000 BCP3 :
00000000
BCP4 : B85F0C34 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product :
256_1

Just now, while I was using my PC, suddenly everything just stopped.
Then all the applications closed. Later, a windows appeared, with the
following message --

Microsoft Windows
The system has recovered from a serious error
A log of this error has been created
For more information about the error, click here

So I clicked it.

Another windows appeared, with the following message -

Error signature
BCCode : 77 BCP1 : 00000001 BCP2 : 00000000 BCP3 :
00000000
BCP4 : B85F0C34 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1

And there was another "click here", so I clicked again.

This time, it tells me there are some "dmp" files and some "xml" files
inside a directory located at C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local
Settings\Temp\WERa15e.dir00\

So I went there.

Yes, some files were there.

Then I click on the "close" button on the windows, suddenly everything
is gone.

The files inside that WERa15e.dir00 directory are also gone !

HELP !

What's going on?

What should I do?

How am I to diagnose my PC if the dump file is gone????

HELP !!!!

Background information on Stop Error message:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms794027.aspx

0x00000077: KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR
A page of kernel data requested from the pagefile could not be found or
read into memory. This message also can indicate disk hardware failure,
disk data corruption, or possible virus infection.

At what point is the system automatically rebooting? Whilst booting or
later?

Are you able to boot into safe mode?

Does a BSOD ever occur in Safe Mode? If you boot in normal mode does it
always result in a BSOD?

Hope this helps.

We need the error info from the event log, and in the future keep the
crossposting to a minimum.
