Hi,
it is very simple to setup credentials protection in WMS.
On publishing point (PP) you want to protect, go to properties /
authentication and enable WMS Negotiate Authentication.
It will request username / password to incoming client connections.
Users are server users, you can manage by adding users to server, in
way that you would setup network fileshare.
In case you want to fine tune user list for each PP, you can
additionally select PP / properties / authorization, and enable WMS
Publishing Point ACL Authorization.
Then select properties on WMS Publishing Point ACL Authorization and
fine tune users that can use publishing point.
