Magic Secret Cache?
kwyjibo <kwyjibo.3l88fe[ at ]DoNotSpam.com> 12/30/2008 9:27:36 AM
Briefly my problem is I accidentally embedded an image from the first album in my music folder into all albums. I manually fixed this and painstakingly removed the folder.jpg and embedded art from each album/mp3 (20,000+)

The Problem now is that every time Windows Media Player opens any of these it overwrites the fixed image with the Old (and wrong) image.

I have deleted all the caches I could find reference to

such as (for all users)

c:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player\Art Cache\LocalMLS
C:\Users\Mcx1\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player\Art Cache\LocalMLS
C:\Users\Mcx1\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\XVHM7DXM

I have searched everywhere for a cached copy of that image (even hashed and searched) it is clearly lurking somewhere completely undocumented and annoyingly un removable.. -- kwyjibo ------------------------------------------------------------------------ kwyjibo's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/kwyjibo.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/media-player/1095246.htm http://forums.techarena.in

Just to make sure :
In each directory there are 4 JPGs (you only mentioned Folder.jpg)
Did you remove all 4 of them?
