Hello from France
I downloaded Free SQL Server 2008 on a XP sp3 PC and I would like to add databases examples (msi file) but when I want to install them, a pop up appears to say that the Windows Installer package is not valid.
I don't know which version of Installer I have (how to do ?) but I would be very pleased to get some help

Hi Didou,
What is the exact error message?
To find out which version of Installer you have on your PC, Click on START | RUN, type MSIEXEC and press ENTER. You should get a display showing what version of MSI you have on your system.
I am not sure what version of installer your machine is asking for but I have provided the link to download Windows Installer v4.5 English as an example below:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=5a58b56f-60b6-4412- 95b9-54d056d6f9f4&DisplayLang=en
Hope this helps.
