I have a 5 node wireless network. All computers work fine except one (HP Pavillion, XP Pro SP2, DLink 520+ wireless to NetGear MR814 Router, IE 6). I have completely wiped the disk and reinstalled and am currently running with no firewalls or other protection beside the router (not normal - just eliminating possible culprits). If I connect to the network using Windows Networking, I can access 2 or 3 pages normally (very fast), then access becomes uselessly slow. I can turnoff Windows control of the network and then back on and it will work again for a couple of pages. I can connect to my neighbors network which is not visible on my home network and all works as it should.
I tend to suspect some kind of interaction with one of the other computers on the network though I have no idea why. I have removed all other computers from the network for testing without effect, though.
I have upgraded drivers on both the DLink and Netgear devices. There is no evidence of errors in any of the logs I know to look at.
I haven't been able to download XP Pro SP3 to see if that has any effect.
I'm pretty much at my wits end - suggestions appreciated.
Thanks, --Don
