If I upgrade to Vista 32 bit, will it work? Can anyone recommend another OCR software that works with Vista? Does Vista have any built in OCR that can be accessed from within Word? Does any other software such as Adobe acrobat have an OCR engine that works in Vista? Thanks for any advice.

Microsoft Office Document Scanning will handle OCR in Vista. Works fine for me, but I have no idea if it works as well as Textbridge, or even if Textbridge will work in Vista.

Version 16 is definitely Vista compatible. The currrent version of Abbyy FineReader is also fine in Vista. Can't speak for Textbridge. SteveT

That is a 1998 vintage program. I'm away from home at the moment, using my laptop, so I can't check to see what version of Omnipage I have on my desktop. But it's old--10 or 11, I think--and it works fine.
