As I recall, there was some registry setting some user I was helping with on wireless and Vista that came back and said he found a setting that he made that had to do with Winsock as I kind of recall that corrected the problem, and he was able to get to the Internet. You might want to check with Vista Networking group about some kind of setting.
Also some have said that they have corrected wireless connections to the Internet by adjusting the MTU settings on the router, which can also be done on the NIC too I think.
