Not sure if any of you guys can help me. I have many digital images and
upload them onto a USB 250gb drive before copying across to DVD. At some
stage recently the drive became corrupt and although I have managed to
recover 99% of the images on there, there are a few which are
greyed/partly greyed out.
Surfing the web offers up many software solutions, but I have yet to
find one that works.
Any of you know an alternative or should I accept that these images are
lost forever.

It's possible you have to accept they are lost forever...99% is a
pretty good strike rate all things considered.
I'm not sure what Photo Editor you have. I use Photoshop CS2 and
PhotoImpact X2. In some cases either of these will open what may seem
like corrupted image files then you can re-save them under a different
name.

Thanks for the response. I will give PhotoImpact a go and see what it
can do. Doing further searches here I notice the problem is pretty
widespread.
