Extending number of Playlists shown by default on startup in WMP11
Paul Muller 12/10/2008 5:15:01 AM
The list of Playlists looks like this in WMP11:

Playlists
Create Playlist (in italics)
My Playlist 1
My Playlist 2
My Playlist 3
My Playlist 4
My Playlist 5
I cannot find a way to increase the number of my playlists shown as default
when opening WMP11 to some much larger number, such as 20.

What is annoying is that the last 5 playlists selected are shown here, and
then one must go searching in the library for those that have 'flowed out of'
the startup list.

This is rather like Word for Windows 2007 that now allows 20 most recently
edited documents to show in the startup pane; it used to be limited to 9, and
one had to find the Tool in Word that allowed it to be increased from the
nominal 4.

That's what I want to do here, increase the length of this list in WMP11.

Thanks to anyone who can help. Attention Microsoft Product Improvement
(unless I have overlooked something simple, in which case I apologize to
everyone).

Right-click the Playlists icon in the left hand part of the player
(that is, in Library view under Music -> Library, in the left hand
panel) : it's a small right-facing triangular arrow icon.

Choose "Show All". Usually that setting sticks quite well when you've
done that step.
