Cannot Open File in Windows Explorer
Paul, 11/14/2008 1:57:41 AM
I have had my computer for almost 2 years running with Windows XP Home
edition. Have had no problems until about 3 weeks ago. I open Windows
explorer open my C drive, click on a folder and try to open a file, (word or
excel) and I get a message program not responding. Sometimes I do not get
this message and can open a file. Most of the time I get the error message.

When I open either word or excel as a new document and do a file / open I
can get into either the word or excel file I want with no problem.

I have not added any new s/w. I have defrag'd my computer and cleaned out
all temp files & cache. I have McAfee anti-virus. It always seems to run OK.
Do I have a bug? How can I fix this issue?

Thank you to anyone in advance for your help.
