Vista Extender

Ok, im trying to watch my videos that I have on my terrabyte drive on my pc on my tv in the other room. I know I can get an extender but what extender is the best out there? I would like to watch High def/blu-ray quality discs w/o loss of performance or video quality. I know some of the reviews say xbox 360 but then it says if your wathcing movies 360 might not be the best bang for your buck.....very frustrating what say you???? -- Fireguy32

Xbox 360 is the best extender out there, although louder than other
extenders. No extender can stream HD DVD, Blu-ray Discs or DVDs over the
network.

The reviews probably say the Xbox 360 isn't the best bang for the "buck"
because it used to be more expensive, and a regular DVD player is much
cheaper. As far as I'm aware the 360 is the cheapest extender out there.

"No extender can stream HD DVD, Blu-ray Discs or DVDs over the
network."

If you've got videos on your PC you can stream them, the Xbox 360 support a
number of formats including WMV, XVID and DIVX.

The Xbox 360 has a DVD drive, and an HD DVD addon drive that can play DVD or
HD DVD *discs*.

ok Paul, thanks for your help on this, so the way I understand it, he and Bly ray are out unless I stretch an hdmi cable through the attic. But as far as he goes I thought "HD" lost the battle with Blu-Ray, the format will now be Blu-ray not hd if that's the case then what? -- Fireguy32
