WM Player 11-- no DVD sound Sam 11/30/2008 2:39:01 AM I have perfect video, no sound for DVD's only. Sound works for itnernet raido. DVD video and sound work on Dell pre-installed DVD player. Any ideas why sound does not work?

I don't recall paying for anythin gfor past computers with MP 11. However something is wrong when you buy two separate Dell computers and neither will play a DVD video!! The most expensive of these is a Dell XPS 700 costing £2000. Not only was there no sound, it refused to play the DVD at all, citing something about 'Digital Rights'. The AC3 filter cured both problems perfectly however the one from Software Forge did not work - it appeared to be only a fragment. The one that worked was from www.afterdawn.com. But why should have I have to do this at all? After spending £2,000 it seems reasonable that at least the DVD player should work. This is only one of a host of problems - another major one is the inability to record audio off the Internet (which I can do with any non-Dell computer). Dell has a lot to answer for. I shall not be buying another Dell computer.
