DVD+RW adding to

When I try to add another video clip to a DVD+RW disk it won't let me. I
have to overwrite the clip that is already on. I can add to CD RWs with no
problem, so why won't DVD+RWs let me do the same? I have overcome the
problem by using a new DVD R disk for every video clip but it is such a
waste of DVD disks. Anyone any ideas as to what I am doing wrong. I am
using Windows Movie Maker to edit my video and using Windows DVD Maker to
burn to DVD. I know I can add clips from various videos to DVD Maker and
burn them all at once but I want to be able to burn a clip to DVD RW and
then add another clip at a later date.

You are not doing anything wrong.

You can add additional clips to a
Data DVD but not to a Video DVD.

If you do not plan to play your DVDs
on a free standing DVD player...just
create Data DVDs and you can add
additional files.
