Hi, I got this info from reading these newsgroups. From my reading, you should have left the original Administrator account alone. Its the Admin Account that only shows from Safe Mode when the OS is XP Home. There are some actions you may encounter, later during learning to use your OS, where you will be instructed to use this "Main Administrator" account from safe mode, to perform. When installing the OS and you are asked to provide a password, leave it blank or input Administrator. Once the OS is installed create whatever User Account with Administrative Privileges that you need or limited user accounts as neccessary. Hope this helps.
