Just to fill in the gaps here : The Flip4Mac FAQ http://www.flip4mac.com/faqs_wmv.htm#05 says WMA voice codec is not available presently.
To expand on what Korventeen said, in fact WMV is not a container format per-se : The ASF file type is the container format, which can contain video encoded using pretty much any codec, though normally it's a variant of WMV, WMA and/or MPEG4 video, possibly MP3 audio.
WMV is a specific ~type~ of ASF where the audio and video are encoded using windows media video codecs - one from a selection, including WMV7-WMV9, VC-1 high definition or WMV9 Screen codec and various WMA9 audio codec types including WMA9 voice.
So it's pretty amazing that Flip4Mac plays back so many possible variants in Quicktime - but sadly not all.
And as Korventeen rightly said, if the file is DRM protected, you're hosed - in the same way iTunes protected files can't be played in windows media player
