Hi team, I had to completely reload XP pro SP2 onto my Desktop last Friday. The repair option didn't work. Now, I have finally rebuilt the Software back onto C:\ and I came to set up another account for my son. Through Control Panel\User Accounts, set up ne account as usual, changed picture to Ben10 (Whatever!). Come out of control panel and sign off\switch user to the new one. Nope, a window pops up with the title "User environment" and tells me "Windows cannot log you on because your profile cannot be loaded....check your connected etc. etc." This also happens if I switch the Guest account on and try to use it. There is something not quite right in the Control panel\User Accounts......the icons are all missing from the 3 help topics and the top line. The red box/white cross is there instead. I would like to repair this without another ZP load. Oh, the repair option didn't seem to work, I booted from CD and chose repair, entered password etc. but nothing happened.
Another question, after the reinstall, I have the System account ASP.net etc. I know this is a critical account that should be left alone, but I believe Tweak UI can hide it from showing in the accounts page. I can't find such an option in Tweak UI, can you direct me please?
Thanks in advance.
