SIGVERIF lists 2 files not in a directory
groupie <justforgroups[ at ]gmail.com> 12/23/2008 11:29:08 PM
Hi,
I ran SIGVERIF just for maintenance reasons, and it listed 2 files
CTPXINST.EXE and CTTELE.DLL in c:\windows\temp but I do not see those
files with Windows Explorer - I seen them actually in c:\windows
\system32

Is this an error with sigverif or are these 2 files hidden for some
reason in temp? Thanks.

I am not familiar with sigverif. However, it is unusual to find either of
these files in the temp folder. The correct location for the current
running programs are in the system32 folder.
You might find similarly name files in the \i386 folder (but these are only
backups). I don't believe that Windows XP has the capability for two or
more folders to show the same file..
