I use WLM 1606 and I like some of the new updates that have been recently added. I am grateful for the return of the X that closes an email rather than using File, Exit.
However, now whenever I send an email with photos or graphics inserted within the body, the email arrives without these pictures in the body but as an attachment that only opens in a picture gallery. This leaves an empty space where the picture was originally placed. This occurs if I use mail message or photo email, whether I use insert or copy and paste. Included as an attachment also are the little screen icons which are part of the "Online pictures are available for 30 days". Sending these emails has been embarrassing. Is there anything that can be done about this problem?
Thank you.

Try disabling this photo email setting: Tools, Options, Send, uncheck "Upload larger images to the web..."

Nissi:
Just so you know you're not alone. I'm having exactly the same issue.
A previous thread mentioned that it could be related to IE 8 Beta 2, which I too installed. This makes sense as the problem started happending about the time I installed IE 8 Beta 2.
Although I did the 'uninstall IE 8 Beta 2', reinstall Windows Live Mail dance. I am still having the same issue.
But I'm still curious:
Did you also install IE 8 Beta 2?

Hello Gary,
I unchecked "upload images to the web...." and it is the same. I am not nor have I ever used the new WLM Beta, I am using WLM 12.0.1606. Sending the pictures to attachment is something that recently started occurring.
Family who view their emails through Blackberry's certainly cannot view a picture if it is in an attachment. If you have any other suggestions, they certainly will be appreciated.
Thank you.

Nissi1:
I wasn't asking about WLM Beta. Specifically referring to Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2.

Dylan,
I am just learning how to setup this newsgroup within WLM. I realize when I responded to your post, I actually sent you an email. This was a mistake, I meant to answer you here in the community.
To answer your question, No I never installed IE8. I have seen small changes in WLM 12.0.1606 and believe they are the results of recent updates. The change in embedded pictures in WLM may have also been affected by this change.

After unchecking that setting, are you still getting the little screen icons which are part of the "Online pictures are available for 30 days"?
Which antivirus are you running?
