It appears totally senseless to install this software to me. I did and then found out that nobody has a usb wireless adapter with a driver for this OS. If anybody out there knows of one, I might decide to re-install this piece of Microsoft garbage. Otherwise, I intend to go back to a 32 bit OS, even though I have a 64 Bit machine.

You didn't specify which 64-bit version of Windows you have, but it is very important that you do your homework thoroughly to ensure you can find drivers for your hardware. Although I cannot tell you specific hardware, there are people that have posted in here stating they have USB Wireless adapters that are in fact supported in 64-bit Windows.
So, if you really want some help, then be specific as to what your problems are. It's real easy to just spout off that 64-bit Windows is 'garbage' and not give any specifics to back up your allegation!

George: Here is one example of wireless adapters that are supported in XP x64 and Vista x64, http://ralink.rapla.net/. I've been using the Ralink RT2500 and Broadcom chipsets since XP x64 was in Beta. As Bobby said doing your homework before an installation is very critical. Although it's easier to complain about something not working rather that give any details or do any research.

And it's also important to understand who writes drivers. NOT Microsoft. The OEMs write the drivers. MS can (and does) provide extensive and comprehensive support to folks trying to write drivers for their hardware. But they aren't the ones who know the hardware, the OEM is the one. And therefore they need to write the drivers.

The Belkin F5D7050 has drivers for 64 bit Vista and XP 64. If your system is XP 64 bit, make sure the Belkin device has FCC ID K7SF5D7050E. There are others "out there".
If you intend to operate in a challenging environment; e.g. (near the edge of the possible connection area or in noisy or multiple reflective surroundings, a PCI card would give better results. That is, if that is a possibility given your box.
So, if you are correct, Belkin must be a 'nobody'. I believe there are others that offer USB-connected Ethernet adapters but you just wanted one.
By the way, Microsoft has never shied away from stating that XP 64 was just intended for a certain, small group of users. In any case, you would hardly be alone in using a 32 bit OS on a machine with either an AMD or Intel 64 bit based machine. For most users, it is a highly satisfactory arrangement.
Good luck. --

I suggest looking into cardbus devices and avoiding usb, if possible.
