Vista won't play embedded video wittgenstein 12/23/2008 11:14:04 PM I have an embedded windows media player on my site. Vista does something funky to it. It downloads, but won't play. Or rather, it plays like it is on qualudes or something. It's all messed up. Take a look at this page: http://ludwig.squarespace.com/conlaw1/category/supreme-court-judicial-review It works fine with XP & MAC, using IE 6 or 7, firefox or safari. But it won't play using IE 7 on VISTA. Why did they let Vista out? Why didn't they just keep it in the dungeon, with all of the beasts that have tormented man? Or, why don't they send it to the terrorists or something -- you know, to confuse and frustrate them.

It's a 2mbps clip, though, which is pretty huge for a file you want to stream. What Statistics do you get if you right click on the embedded player? -- Speaking for myself only.
