selecting network connection

Hello,

I don't have much information about the topic, please don't be cruel
if this group is not the best place to ask the question.

I have XP and basically, I have to make a VPN connection to connect my
company network. However it is not very fast, and whenever I am
connected all my connection goes through this connection. So I would
like to at least browse the web through my default internet connection
instead of through VPN. To put it another way, I wish I can configure
my internet browser, Skype, and even winamp (for internet radio :)) to
use my default fast internet connection and still my VNC viewer should
be able to connect through the VPN connection.

I have no idea how to search this issue at Google :)

If your VPN software allows it, turn off the setting that makes it your
default route. You can manually add a static route if necessary using the
route command.
