Shared drive access issue with machine name\user name maniac_ie <robquigley[ at ]gmail.com> 12/2/2008 5:01:32 PM Hey everyone, I'm trying to map a shared drive to my computer (both machines run windows xp pro) but everytime i attempt to log in with my username and password, say joe_bloggs and whatever, after i click to login, windows prepends my machinename, mighty_laptop so now the username is mighty_laptop\joe_bloggs which of course is wrong so i am denied access to the shared drive. Anyone any ideas how i stop windows from adding unneccessarily to the username? Cheers. Rob.
