a) Depends on the company that provides the material. HBO, usually not.
NBC, usually yes. I'm not sure why you'd burn it in WMV format though,
there are no DVD players able to play WMV format. I'd personally convert to
DIVX as all my standalone players suppport DIVX files.
b) If you purchase a Cable Card Media Center PC. I think HP do a couple.
You cannot build one yourself and from what I read in the newsgroups/
forums, people have mixed results. Try some research at
www.thegreenbutton.com.
