1. First choice - get restore disks from the machine mftr. IOW, if it's an HP, order the restore disks from HP. They are around $20.
2. Second choice - use a branded OEM that matches the correct version of XP. IOW, if a Dell w/XP Home use a Dell XP Home disk. Most of us in the business have large collections of branded OEM disks.
3. Third choice - use a generic OEM that matches the correct version of XP (Home, Pro, MCE) and use the Product Key from the COA sticker.
