That's SOP with PSP. In version X it's better in that it doesn't actually start another instance, but it still goes thru the splash screen etc. so it saves no time. You can ask about the current rev on cnews.corel.com newsgroups. I forget the latest rev, but it might have gone further with that situation; can't hurt to check.
