Actually I tried that on my previous computer which was win xp home 32 bit and most of them would not run correctly. my experience is that compatibility mode does not work that great. I have another hdd which I can install the win 98 on and an old computer which i can do it with so that there aren't any install problems but can i then put that hdd into the same case in which i have the hdd for xp pro and have it work correctly? ie, will i be given a choice as to which hdd i will boot to? or will the computer just automatically try to boot to xp pro every time? what it comes down to is i do not want to have to create another spot in my house for the extra computer and if i could have them both in one case using the same parts and monitor would be greatly preferable. not to mention more cost effective.
