detecting devices shocraf 12/29/2008 1:24:01 AM The first time i connected my MP3 player to my desktop the windows media player picked it up and said that i could sync music to it. However that was the only time it did that. Now when i connect the device it doesnt' even detect it. What can i do to fix it?

Try going to Control Panel -> System -> Device Manager Find your device, and right-click then choose "Uninstall" Once that's completed, disconnect and reconnect the MP3 player. Ensure you insert any CD requested which might contain "driver" software for the MP3 player, then re-try media player to see if it's now picking it up.
