bootmgr problem breezyyb 11/17/2008 4:12:06 PM I have vista ultimate and when I turn on the computer, I get the message "BOOTMGR is compressed" I tried running the vista CD recovery, but i still got the same message, then I did a complete reinstall and still got the same message. I have a drive "C' that I did the reinstall on... and I have a drive"D"...should I run the install on that also? or what should I be doing? thanks for your help breezyyb

When you re-installed did you delete the partition and re-create and format it? I think it asked if i wanted to repair or just install & on which drive to install....I will try again though, that will help? thanks again!!
