Maybe the following method will help.
In Movie Maker...Timeline View...
Drag the video to the timeline and then
right click / mute the Audio track.
Now...drag another instance of the video
to the Audio/Music track.
Place your pointer on the clip on the Audio/
Music track...when you see the Hand...you
can left click/drag the clip right or left to
attempt to sync it to the Video track.
Also you can left click/select the clip on
the audio/music track and nudge it left or
right...
Nudge Right: Ctrl+Shift+N
Nudge Left: Ctrl+Shift+B
