Excel Hangs under XP64 Jeffrey 10/16/2008 4:10:01 PM Whenever I have an excel book open and then open another the initial workbook hangs for about ten minutes before being usable again. The new one I opened works great until I open another workbook where the pattern repeats. Is this an Excel issue of a Windows XP64 issue? And what exactly is the issue? I had disabled auto calculate in case that was the problem.
