Hello, Happy Christmas, I am using Windows Embedded. I have an admin and a local user who is added to Network Operators Group. I couldnt make the local user to change ip settings when he logs into the system and finally i come up to a point where in the registry , ....HKLM/system /currentcontrolset/services/tcpip the permissions were not set for the Network Operators group. Just after the FBA finishes and system boots, i see that security folder and permissions are not applied in the registry HKLM/system /currentcontrolset/services/tcpip .In my laptop's XP pro ,i see that Network Operators group is already permitted and there is a Security folder in HKLM/system /currentcontrolset/services/tcpip which i dont have in my embedded operating system.
I have even loaded Full xp pro 2007.slx and go through the security policies(NSA policy etc) as well to see if i am missing something but i had the same problem. What is the reason that the permissions for Network Operators group are not applied? is it a security issue?
Helps will be appreciated.
